The 7th one-day Conference-School of Young Scientists “Advanced Carbon Nanostructures and Methods of their Diagnostics”

June 30, 2021, St. Petersturg, Russia

The 7th one-day Conference-School of Young Scientists (CSYS’2021 ) entitled «;Advanced Carbon Nanostructures and Methods of their Diagnostics» will be traditionally held in the frame of the 15th International Conference Advanced Carbon Nanostructures” (ACNS’2021). Accordingly, following the main conference ACNS'2021, in this year the School will also be held in the format of an online meeting.

The School heads:

Head of New Inorganic Materials Laboratory at Ioffe Institue, St. Petersburg, Corresponding Member RAS, Prof. Viktor V. Gusarov

Head of NRC «Kurchatov Institute» — IREA, Moscow, Dr. Vasily M. Retivov.

The School scientific secretary:

Senior researcher at Ioffe Institute, St. Petersburg, Dr.  Vladimir V. Shnitov.

Any participant of the ACNS’2021 conference is allowed to attend all events and actions of the School. At the same time, direct participation in the work of the School is available only for young scientists (not older than 28) whose abstracts are related to «Diagnostic techniques of Advanced Carbon Nanostructures» and accepted for the «Conference-School» section. It is worth noting that such participation is independent of the participation in the main Conference and does not require any registration fee. It also should be noted that all accepted for the School abstracts are traditionally published in the book of abstracts of the conference ACNS’2021.

The one-day scientific program of the School is comprised of several on-line lectures and several online sessions where young scientists will be able to present and discuss their works with other participants of the School and Conference. The main content of their reports should be presented either in the form of 5 minutes video or in the form of corresponding slide presentation (ppt or pdf file) which should be upload via Slack not later than June 25 (the respective instructions will be sent).

Please note that the official language of our School is Russian! Accordingly, the on-line reports of young scientists should be given in Russian. At the same time, since main conference has status of international event, we ask all the participants of the School to prepare the slides of their presentations using English, but not Russian

The on-line tutorial lectures will be given by highly qualified invited experts also in Russian. The scope of these lectures covers not only the description and results of various diagnostic techniques widely used in research of advanced carbon nanostructures, but also the most promising ways of such structures fabrication and practical application. The respective pdf files of these lectures will be available for all participants of the School and main conference.

The list of the tutorial lectures is the following:

  1. Viktor G. Vins, Research and Production Company «New Diamonds of Siberia»(NDS),

    Novosibirsk, Russia.

Transformation of atomic defects in the crystal structure of diamond.
